Ismael Roque, Sr. – CEO

He founded Continental Claims Service, Inc. in 1975, after 17 years as staff employed with Kemper Insurance Co.  He worked for Kemper in their PR branch as Claims Manager for 6 years. Prior to working with Kemper he worked for Firemen’s Fund and Great American Insurance Co. in New York. He has had 34 plus successful years in the insurance industry handling all lines of claims, specializing in vehicle products liability.

Associate degree College of Insurance, New York.
Law For Claims course from Lasalle Extension University.
Former IILA Chairman District Manager for Caribbean, West
Indies, Central America and Mexico.
Two years Chairman Insurance Arbitration.

Ismael Roque, Jr.- President

Ismael started working with his father as soon as he graduated from college in 1984 and has been an all lines license adjuster since 1985.  He has handled catastrophe losses such as hurricanes Hugo and George, as well as successfully implementing dedicated units for local and stateside clients. He supervises all business and is in charge of the quality control of our work product.  Mr. Roque Jr, updates his education attending annually continued education seminars and courses in both commercial property and personal lines coverage course work.  Also attends annually stateside seminars of PRLB and ACE looking to expand his knowledge and business.  He was president of the Puerto Rico Claims Managers Association from 2004 to 2006, where he implemented AIC courses for claims managers for the first time.  Mr. Roque Jr, has also given various presentations on loss prevention, most notably giving an Eartquake seminar at the 2005 Acodese Convention.

David Roque – Vice-President

David graduated in 1991 from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in finance.  In October 1990 he was employed as a formal employee for CCS and also obtained the license as independent adjuster.  In his 18 years of experience he has been handling automobile, casualty, property claims and other lines.  He was promoted as Claims Supervisor in 1997 and in 1999 he was designated as  Vice president.

Catherine Perez, Operation Manager

Cathy came to Continental Claims Service, Inc. in 1999.  She has 15 years in the insurance industry, 3 years in Life and Disability with Atlantic Southern Insurance Co., 3 years in Health Plan with Medical One, Inc. (now called Triple S) and 9 years in General Liability and Casualty Claims with Continental Claims Service.  As a student of Criminal Justice she has 150 hours working with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Puerto Rico Law Enforcement. She supervises the Customer Service Department and is in charge of the overall operations management of the office.  She is responsible for the technical and operational functions within the office including compliance with company standards.  Performs quality reviews on liability claims in compliance with audit requirements, client service instructions and quality standards. Identifies and advises management of trends, problems and issues as well as recommended course of action; informs management of new procedures and ideas for continuous process improvement; and coordinates with management projects for the office.  She also, maintains a quality assurance program to support the Claim Supervisor and the consistent delivery of quality claims service.

Rene came to Continental Claims Service, Inc. in 1997. He has had 15 years in the insurance industry mostly handling General Liability and Casualty Claims. In addition, he has worked Hurricane losses during Georges. He supervises several accounts and is in charge of the quality control of our work product.

Jose Betancourt | Claims Supervisor

Jose became a part of Continental Claims Services on 2005. He has 15+ years in the insurance industry  handling General, Auto, Property and Product liability claims. Fluent on both major automobile damage estimating systems. Prior to joining the insurance industry served 3 years as a tactical communication specialist in the US Army. As part of the Catastrophe Team, he has handled major hurricane losses involving Dwelling and Condominiums. Presently, he supervises claims for retail stores and handles claims in litigation.
